1. What Time Penny is

A planner app. You add tasks, it reminds you about them, and it syncs across your devices if you sign in.

2. What Time Penny is not

Time Penny is not a medical device and not a treatment.

It is designed around research into how people with ADHD actually use planners, and it borrows the community's own language. That is a design philosophy, not a clinical claim. Time Penny does not diagnose, treat, cure or manage ADHD or any other condition, and it is not a substitute for professional advice.

If you are struggling, please speak to a doctor. This app is a planner.

3. Reminders — please read this one

We cannot guarantee that a reminder will reach you.

This is not boilerplate. Phones limit how many reminders an app may schedule in advance, Focus modes and battery settings can suppress them, and some devices clear scheduled reminders when restarted. Time Penny works within those limits, tells you when it detects a problem, and prioritises the reminders that matter most — but delivery is ultimately controlled by your phone, not by us.

Do not rely on Time Penny alone for anything where a missed reminder would cause serious harm — medication timing, medical appointments, legal deadlines, or court dates. Use a backup you trust.

4. Your account

Sign-in is by emailed code; there is no password. Keep access to your email secure, since anyone who can read it can sign in as you.

You may use Time Penny without an account indefinitely. Your data then stays on your device and is not backed up by us — if you lose the phone, that data is gone.

You must be 13 or older.

5. Your content

Your tasks are yours. We claim no ownership.

You grant us only the narrow permission needed to run the service: storing your content, and transmitting it between your devices. Nothing else.

You are responsible for what you put in the app. Don't use it for anything unlawful.

6. Subscriptions

Time Penny is free to use. Premium is optional and adds features on top of it. It never paywalls basic functionality — unlimited tasks, unlimited recurring routines, reminders, syncing, data export and account deletion are free permanently.

• Free trial: 14 days. We will remind you two days before it ends, so the reminder arrives while you can still act on it.
• Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours beforehand.
• Charging: your store account is charged at confirmation of purchase and at each renewal.
• Cancelling: manage or cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Price lock: if we raise prices, existing subscribers keep the price they signed up at.
• Refunds: handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We cannot issue refunds for store purchases directly.

7. Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. It is immediate and permanent.

We may suspend accounts that are being used unlawfully or that abuse the service. We will tell you why unless legally prevented.

8. Availability

We aim to keep Time Penny working but do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change. If we discontinue the service we will give reasonable notice and time to export your data.

9. Liability

Nothing here takes away rights you have under the law where you live. Some places give consumers guarantees that a company cannot sign away. If anything in this section conflicts with those, those rights win and the rest of this section still applies.

What we promise. We will provide Time Penny with reasonable care and skill, and we will be straight with you about what it does. We do not promise that it will be free of faults, that it will always be available, or that any particular reminder will reach you — §3 explains why that last one is not something any app can honestly promise.

What we are responsible for. We are responsible for loss we cause you by failing to use reasonable care and skill, and for anything the law does not allow us to exclude — including death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and fraud.

What we are not responsible for. We are not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when you started using Time Penny, or for loss arising because you relied on the app alone in a situation §3 asks you not to. Specifically, we are not liable for a fee, charge, penalty or missed deadline that occurs because a reminder did not arrive, arrived late, or was suppressed by your device. Money Deadlines is a prompt to act; it does not act for you, does not contact anyone on your behalf, and does not touch any account of yours.

A limit on the total. Where the law allows a limit, our total liability to you for everything connected with Time Penny is capped at whichever is greater: the amount you actually paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose, or fifty US dollars. If you have never paid us anything, the fifty dollars is the cap.

Your data. We keep backups and we take care with your content, but you should keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. Settings → Export my data produces one at any time, free.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, and the courts of Colorado will hear any dispute — except where the law of the country you live in gives you the right to bring a claim locally or to rely on your own consumer-protection law. In that case, that right stands and we are not asking you to give it up.

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

11. Changes

If these terms change materially, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
